The Curious Craft is a FREE, three-day journey into the world of storytelling. Designed for those working/living in isolation and wanting to connect with fellow creatives while exploring folklore and wonder tales. Delivered within a relaxed and welcoming environment - you will learn how to bring stories to life through your own, unique voice.
The Course at a Glance
What to expect on your 3-day storytelling adventure.
Day 1: Awakening Creativity
Start by shaking off the creative cobwebs with a selection of imagination games - designed to reignite your natural curiosity and innate imagination.
Then, step into the rich world of folk tales - discovering and exploring stories of morality, magic, and the mundane.
Day 2: Deep Dive into Stories
Working with wonder tales, you'll learn practical techniques to make stories stick:

Story Bones – uncover the essential structure of a tale.

Story Maps – visualise the journey of characters and events.

‘Gossip’ Sharing – bring stories to life through informal retelling.
These tools will help you internalise and interpret the stories to make them your own.
Day 3: From Story to Performance
Transform stories into captivating performances with techniques that engage and delight:

Eyeline – create connection through intentional gaze.

Physicality – embody characters and emotions with movement.

Rhythm – explore pacing and flow for dramatic impact.
With these techniques under your belt - it's time to share some stories together!
